35 of 36 people found the following review helpful cheapo, January 15, 2010 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Bed Bug ClimbUp Interceptors (pack of 12) passive traps for bed legs I guess they work in principle, but these are made from such cheap, flimsy plastic... on carpet, they cracked within a week. May work if you are on hard flooring (seems obvious now). I guess I assumed for the price, these would be heavy duty and durable. Price should probably be more like $15-$20. Again, they may work, but I definitely feel ripped off for the price.
27 of 28 people found the following review helpful they work in theory, not necessarily in reality, September 5, 2010 By sharon f "-Sharon" (Newark, DE) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Bed Bug ClimbUp Interceptors (pack of 12) passive traps for bed legs while these traps may work in theory, they do not necessarily work in every situation. My bedframe is on rollers, and the rollers are on carpet. I have gone through Several of these in the course of a month because they keep cracking. And once they crack, they're useless. So keep that in mind. I'm guessing that on hardwood floors without rollers, you wouldnt have a problem. But that said, the ones that did not crack have worked. They have collected bed bugs in the outer ring which let us know the bugs were coming from the carpet. So I give them 3 stars because the product does work, but took away two stars because they are far from durable.

Being a pest control professional i use this product on a weekly (often even daily) basis, and in my opinion, it is the best detection option available. with a visual inspection its 'ok if the bed bugs are somewhere i can visibly see at this moment then I'll be able to find them', where as with the climb-ups, if you keep them on and keep your bedding off the ground and bed off the wall, then there is a 95% they (climb-ups) will find the possible infestation in a 7 day period. Of course there's also the bed-bug sniffing dogs, but i've seen several misses performed by them and false positives. Quite honestly, something that important i wouldn't trust in the nose of even the most well trained canine.
